Ngorongoro Conservation Area is the world famous Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Down into the crater 600m deep caldera you willsee a range of animals, grasslands, birds and a lake. The massive collapsed volcano is home to over 25,000 mammals ranging from the Big Five to spotted hyenas, rare wild dogs and some of the more than 500 bird species of the area. After an extensive game drive and a picnic lunch in the crater, you will return to Arusha, where you will arrive in the early evening.

ITINERARY

Day 1

You will depart early in the morning from Moshi/Arusha city and drive to Ngorongoro Crater, a wonderful haven for wildlife. Ngorongoro is unique in that almost all the wildlife lives within the crater walls hence you have the opportunity to find game easily, Big 5 as well, Rhino, in particular, can be seen regularly as well as prides of lion and other predators like cheetah. Enjoy a full day in this park including lunch by the hippo pond. After an extensive game drive and a picnic lunch in the crater, you will return to Arusha, where you will arrive in the early evening.
