A 2-day Tarangire safari offers an immersive experience in one of Tanzania’s most iconic parks, renowned for its large elephant herds and distinctive baobab trees. On the first day, visitors embark on a scenic drive from Arusha/Airport to Tarangire National Park, where they enjoy a full day of game drives, spotting wildlife such as lions, giraffes, zebras, and diverse bird species along the Tarangire River. After an overnight stay in a lodge or camp, the second day provides another opportunity for morning game viewing before returning to Arusha, capturing the park’s diverse landscapes and abundant wildlife.

Day 1: Arusha to Tarangire National Park
Start the day with morning drive from Airport/Arusha to Tarangire National Park, arriving after 2-3 hours. Upon arrival, you’ll embark on game drives through the park’s landscapes, famous for large elephant herds and towering baobab trees. Enjoy a picnic lunch and continue exploring in the afternoon, spotting wildlife such as lions, giraffes, and zebras. In the late afternoon, check into your accommodation for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 2: Tarangire National Park to Arusha
After breakfast, head out for a morning game drive while wildlife is active, offering a final chance to see elephants, antelopes, and other animals. As the morning progresses, depart from the park and begin the return journey to Arusha. Arrive back in the early afternoon.
